There is a huge amount of software available for use under emulators. However, organising it can prove extremely difficult - especially if you have a large collection. I have written a number of utilities to attempt to solve this problem for 8 different platforms - and I hope to write more in the future.
Right now, these platforms are the Colecovision, Gameboy, NES, SNES, Genesis, Lynx, SMS/GG, and PC Engine.

While not all the ROM Info applications include all of the features below, they all include some subset of the following features:
• The ability to display the information embedded in the ROM - or if none is present, to display information about the ROM taken from an internal database in the programs.
• The ability to rename the ROM to its correct name according to a set list of criteria.
• The ability to save the ROM's information to the finder comment field.
• The ability to save or print a list of ROMs.
• The ability to change the file's Type and Creator to popular emulators.
• The ability to compress ROMs using gzip, which can be decompressed transparently by many popular emulators.
